An on-going project to photograph the community of Table-Top Gamers in and around Bristol, the South West and Wales.
These photographs of the Spaniorum Farm Gymnasium were taken just before it closed its doors on 31st December 2016. Situated on Berwick Lane, Compton Greenfield, less than two miles from Cribbs Causeway, the former cider brewery was converted and run by former professional boxer, Tex Woodward in 1976. It was one of the most successful sports clubs in South Gloucestershire. Britain’s first licensed female boxer and five times women’s world boxing champion Jane Couch MBE lived and trained there and its facilities have been used by former world heavyweight champions Lennox Lewis and Frank Bruno.
A photo documentary focusing on the match day experiences of a Welsh Rugby Union referee at the grass-roots level of the sport in Wales.
